Arm Warmers
One of my favorite former coworkers was selling some things from her mom’s etsy shop at the 3 Ring Circus two weekends ago. Her store is full of beautiful hats, clever armbands (with a pocket for a guitar pick!) and these:
They’re soft, pretty, and… for someone like me who lives in a cold climate and has freakishly long arms? Indispensible. 
South Boston Open Studios
During the “3 Ring Circus” last weekend, I enjoyed going around the Distillery warehouse studios and seeing all sorts of artist spaces. In the Rope-A-Dope Press Collaborative, one of the artists let me try out the letterpress, something I’ve wanted to do for a long time. It was incredibly satisfying to use a massive machine that runs solely on muscle power. You put your strength into it and out comes a delicate, detailed, and beautiful little print. (sigh)
