Where Science Meets Imagination

A couple of weeks ago, we visited the Museum of Science and saw their new exhibit “Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination.” I’ve been a fan of the older three Star Wars movies since childhood. I had the action figures, a plastic light saber, and even a jedi cloak sewn by my mom. So I loved seeing firsthand the actual models, puppets, and costumes used in the films. Yes, there were plenty of scientifically respectable elements in the exhibit, of which I’m ashamed to say I took no photos.

Ah, the memories. I had those records/books too! They even had sound effects from the movies on them. And it’s too bad my action figures ended up in garage sales. They’d be worth something now. One of my favorites was the C3PO that came apart and went into a mesh bag for Chewbacca to carry (like he did in the Empire Strikes Back). Oddly enough, I left my Chewbacca in the yard one day and our dog chewed him up.
