Ok, you’ll just have to put up with me showing off this new love of my life. I can’t stop looking at him, cuddling him, and taking pictures of him. I’m giving him as many kisses as possible now, too, since I’m sure he won’t stand for it when he’s older.
Recovering from a c-section hasn’t been easy. We crossed a big hurdle today by going outside so Momma and Sam could get some fresh air and sunshine. The stairs to and from our apartment were incredibly uncomfortable, but I was really getting cabin fever, so the trip was worth it.
Sam loved being outside, and had a pleasant nap in a shady spot by the pool. He’s been feeding very well, so I gave the ok for a pacifier. It seems to help him process all these new experiences.
In other news: I’m getting pretty good at doing things on the computer with one hand while waiting for him to finish a diaper or burp.

He’s so beautiful it made me cry–that, and memories of my own little boys with their perfect sets of toes and fingers. Only they didn’t get their pictures on the internet.
he’s a very beautiful baby. congrats!
it only gets better . . . glad you’re recovering fast enough to make it outdoors already!
I was just comparing my own wrinkled hands with their oddly shaped nails to Sam’s perfect little hand. How come nails don’t grow into fangs while babies are still in the womb?
His nails were pretty long and sharp when he was born, actually. I had to file them down so he would stop scratching his own face. He likes grabbing hold of his own chubby cheek and then pulling on it. It’s strange all the involuntary things they do. It provides great entertainment for Mommy and Daddy.
C.S. Lewis said that lovers laugh at each other until they get a baby to laugh at.
CONGRATULATIONS MALITA AND AUSTIN! THANKS TO GRANDPA JACK, WE SAW THE PICTURES OF BABY SAM. HE IS A FINE LOOKING BIG BABY, WE MUST SAY. GRANDPA, DAD AND FRANK COULD USE SOME OF HIS HAIR. OH YAH, OUR GRANDSON BABY JONNY TOO.
