More Bug Mugs

I know, two posts in one day. But I just had to put up some more Sam faces. Austin already posted the first one on his blog, but it’s one of my favorites, so here it is again.

Pigeon Patrol

Our (very old) church building has a belfry that until recently was home to quite a few pigeons and bats. The problem with their using the belfry as an apartment complex was that their waste was piling up and rotting out the floor. Some brave members cleaned out the “guano” -a dozen or so black [...]

BU Visit

We wanted to take a walk on Monday afternoon, and Austin had to return a book at the Boston University Library, so we decided to walk there. It’s quite a trek from our place, but there was a breeze, so it wasn’t unpleasant. This was Sam’s first trip to Daddy’s school, and he took in [...]

More Smiles!

Sam finally stopped being stingy with his smiles. He no longer reserves them for the 5:30-6:30am window, so now he’s sharing them with daddy, too! I might be biased, but I think these photos are incredibly cute!

Origami Mobiles

When our friend died, the cranes became a gift for his family, instead. During the troubling days [...]

Flickr Down

Sorry the photos are temporarily unavailable. Flickr seems to be experiencing technical difficulties. They expect to be back online soon. 7/20/06 7:10am Ok… Should be back to normal now.

Smiles!

For some time, now, Sam has been smiling in his sleep, sometimes even letting out a little puff of a laugh. Then, he started giving us fleeting grins. But the last few days, he’s been smiling like crazy during his morning play time. Unfortunately, this happens at about 6am, so no one but mommy has [...]

The Many Faces of Bug

Ok, so Sam just might have inherited his mother’s dramatic tendencies. All of these photos were taken in the space of 5 minutes. This week he started grinning at us, too!

Maine Event

Yesterday we took a zipcar up to South Berwick, Maine, to see the Sarah Orne Jewett House. Austin’s mother wrote her masters thesis on Sarah, a 19th century writer best known for her novels A Country Doctor and The Country of the Pointed Firs. Austin and Mom took a guided tour of the house while [...]
