Friday was cold and wet, I was feeling unwell, I lost my umbrella at the T stop and to top it all off, I had to go to the RMV (known in most states as the DMV). I have to say, though, that I’ve never seen a Motor Vehicles office run so smoothly. There were [...]

We took a walk around the reservoir late this afternoon. The slant of the sun brought out the warm fall colors that are slowly appearing everywhere.

Since we live in an apartment in the city, I’m trying to be conscious of how much “outdoors” time Sam is getting. He enjoys our walks around town, but it’s not very often he gets to lie down under the trees and feel the tickle of grass or the crinkle of leaves. Today, we walked [...]

This afternoon, Austin needed a break from all his work, so he accompanied me and Sam on a walk and took a few photos of us together in the park. Though I don’t necessarily want to be in front of the camera, I know I’ll regret it later if I don’t get more photos of [...]

Saturday morning there was a gentle rain, so we watched it through Sam’s window. Our neighbors passed down the street, on their way to Synagogue, and to Rosh Hashanah celebrations. It was a soft sort of morning, pleasant and quiet.

His favorite things right now are his red elephant toy, his books, and our long walks around Boston. He loves to watch people on the train. His bright-eyed stare brings their guard [...]

The temperature was back up to 80 today after a long stretch in the 60s. Sam and I walked Austin to the school this afternoon, and then went to the Harbor. I took my photos while he took his nap in the front carrier. The sun was bright, and the sky a brilliant blue. Even [...]

Well, here’s the cool project I mentioned earlier. I’ve opened a Zazzle store to sell products with my photos and designs on them! I get to do the design and make a commission, but Zazzle does the actual production. I’ve heard glowing reports about the quality of their products, so I’m glad to use their [...]

Here are photos of Sam’s “new and improved” tummy time, along with a lookalike comparison, just for laughs. Meanwhile… I’ve had a project in the works that I think is pretty cool. I’ll be sharing it with you all sometime this weekend. Stay tuned…

Sam is fussy in the afternoons, so I take him out for walks. We both get fresh air, I get exercise, and Austin gets peace and quiet in which to work. I’ve decided to start giving myself photo essay assignments during these walks. This is the first one. My assignment: Look for things overhead and [...]
