We had quite a weekend! My coworker, Jenny, did the invitations for the Museum of Fine Art’s summer gala (our company letterpress printed them as a donation to the museum). As a thank you, they put our names on the guest list for Saturday, along with one guest each. Jenny brought our coworker, Sarah, and (of course) I brought Austin! Only the Colonnade and Old Masters Gallery were open for the party. It would have been fun to walk through other galleries. I think they keep things in one area to encourage mingling, though for some reason they hired a (very very loud) DJ instead of live musicians, so it was impossible to have conversations in the gallery anyway. Oh well.
The next afternoon, our friends Nhat and Amy got married! She asked me to do the photos, so I was a bit nervous. I asked Tonia Landry to back me up with her camera, though, so that took off some of the pressure. It was an outdoor wedding, and there were quite a few kids there, so Sam got to be there. Austin took care of him while I did the photos. He was an angel, despite missing both his naps that day! He must have known it was Father’s Day and decided to go easy on Daddy. He even showed off by pointing out Daddy’s nose on command, which elicited great fatherly pride.
