Did anyone else get the Crate and Barrel holiday catalog this weekend? I have only once shopped at C&B (using a gift certificate I got at work for “outstanding customer service”). So why, oh, why must they continue to send me these mouth-watering catalogs filled with page after page of saucy reds, warm earthy browns and evergreens so fresh I can smell them? (sigh) Sorry C&B. Love your catalog, but you’ll just have to wait until I have the budget for that 22 dollar candle wrapped (so carefully and beautifully) in real birch bark, or that clever terra cotta casserole baker with a cradle for the wooden serving spoon, or…

I know, those catalogs can be SOOO tempting. Not trying out for all state band… long story, but on the upside, I am going Christmas Caroling on December 22, you guys should come in and go too
