“Falling Back” With Friends

Our friends Jacob and Laura visited this week with their adorable one-year-old, Alana. We did a lot of sightseeing, and of course shared that wonderful parental experience of trying to convince our babies that what felt to them like 7:30am had now become 6:30am, a completely unacceptable time for them to wake us up. It was hilarious to watch the kids interacting. Alana is such a sweet, dainty little lady and Sam just plodded around her like a big loud goober trying to show off. He tried to impress her with his skills: raspberry-blowing, stuffed animal throwing, and general loudness. She humored him with smiles and giggles. Both were very patient as we dragged them around the city.
