Inspired by one of Mollie’s traditions, here are a list of Saturday morning playtime loves and hates.
Love
soft jammies and slippers after breakfast
that a wardrobe waiting to be carried upstairs made a temporary playhouse for Sam
his way of stuffing of goldfish crackers (”shishies”) into his mouth four or five at a time
that when he can’t find his “belbow” on the back of his arm, he points to his wrist instead (hey - it bends, right?)
the tiny rubber duck that so jovially agrees to ride on dump trucks, drive bulldozers, perch atop block towers, and do any other thing occurring to a 17-month-old imagination
Hate
being so enormously pregnant that I can’t play happily on the floor (or even reach the floor for that matter)
that the wardrobe must be disassembled to fit upstairs, then be reassembled there
the insanely loud fire alarm smelling dark toast and scaring my boy till he shook
worrying about the boy when he climbs onto the couch and can’t figure out how to get down safely
that the sweet blue puppy (or as Sam says “boppy”) pajamas have gotten too small

so sweet……
Have fun. Oh, and I hope the whole “pregnancy” thing is going well!
