   My first thought was one of those suction cups you stick to windows. But I also could see a snap. However, I’m thinking it might be a pen after reading your dad’s guess! Cool picture, one way or the other

    The two dads agree, sort of: it’s a ball point pen. (To me an “ink pen” is a fountain pen.)

    Ok, since so many people basically have it already, I’ll go ahead and post the answer. (Technically, both dads are right and wrong.) It’s a pen, but it’s an ultra-fine point Sharpie marker, so it’s felt-tip. I think I gotcha by taking the photo straight-on. If you saw it from a slight angle the tip wouldn’t look so round. But all answers involving pens are winners! Too bad there’s no prize.
