I’ve lived in places where it feels like Spring explodes suddenly. It may have felt that way because in warmer climates I missed the first signs of its approach, not being nearly as eager or desperate for it as I am here. But here, where it has been chilly or cold for six months now, my eyes fasten to every tiny bit of green creeping out of a crack or tinting the tip of a branch.

I’ve become the same way since we moved to Ohio. Yesterday some of our daffodils opened, and I was so happy. Do you remember the long, slow, beautiful springs in Nashville? My first real Southern spring happened there. It was so amazing I thought I would cry. Here, spring teases and torments and then all of a sudden..it’s summer.
Oh I am waiting for spring. I did see that there is some green grass/weeds in my flower garden (of course) and that the irises are about 2 inches out of the ground. It will so nice to let Ethan play outside without the process of bundling up!
I also am commenting on the post for Friday-
The second picture is so adorable. Maggie’s look seems to say she thinks Sam is the funniest, best brother.
