I’m late getting birth announcements made for Ben. But I’ve finally ordered the paper materials from my favorite shop and former workplace, Paper Source. (Warning: If you follow that link, you’re going to want to set aside an hour or so to wander through all their wonderful products!)
I probably won’t be silkscreening them on my Gocco, as much as I’d love to. I’m low on screens and bulbs, and am sort of afraid to use them up. Gocco materials (though discontinued) are still available here and there, but what will replace them once they’re gone? The Yudu came out recently, but it’s expensive, and I’m not convinced yet that it’s an equal substitute for use on paper. It seems to be more clothing-oriented. I may have to start using a more “grown-up” silkscreening process. One thing I’ll definitely miss about Gocco is how easy it is!
