I admit that it looks a lot like plywood, and that’s my first guess. However, I also wondered if it could be a stack of the paper that you were sewing in the previous blog post. It kind of looks like the line of trim sewn to one of the cards.
What’s your guess?

It’s the edge of a piece of plywood. But it does resemble that decorative trim, which is actually papyrus.
