For days, Sam has been going through this cycle where he seems happy and well, then suddenly he gets sick again. I keep thinking “Ok, today we’re over the hump.” But then he has another little wave of illness. Today seems to be his best day yet. Maybe now we’re really over the hump.
Sam loves his rice cereal. When he sees me mixing it, he bouces his legs and opens his mouth with anticipation. After each bite he slurps, smacks and hums. I let him play with the spoon a little after the cereal is gone. He makes a mess trying to figure out how to use it. [...]
