He has his sense of the way things ought to be and tries to "manage" us sometimes. But I think he must have picked up the "you want to give me a cookie" thing one day when he had been very disobedient... but I had just made a fresh batch of cookies, and wanted to let him have one while they were warm (the best way to enjoy them). So I pointed out that I wasn't giving him the cookie as a reward; I was giving it to him because I wanted to. :) @ Amy: He does!
